SAVE THE LAST DANCE

An aspiring dancer (Julia Stiles) is forced to live with her father in a predominantly black neighborhood when her mother is killed in an accident. She is befriended by a street-savvy classmate and eventually falls for the girl's brother (Sean Patrick Thomas). As racial tensions mount around them, Thomas must combat criminal influences while introducing Stiles to hip-hop dance and restoring her lost confidence. 112 min.
