Along with the Shirelles and the Channels, The Deltairs were one of the few female vocal groups performing in 1957. The group consisted of Carol Stansbury (second soprano), her sister, Thelma Stansbury (first soprano), Shirley Taylor (first alto), Barbara Lee (second alto) and lead soprano Barbara Thompson. At their first recording session in early 1957, they recorded the classic, highly influential single presented here. Barbara Thompson sings lead on "Lullaby of the Bells," assisted by alto Barbara Lee doing the bass part. "It's Only You, Dear" features lead vocals by Barbara Thompson and Carol Stansbury. All selections newly remastered.
